Loved this bagel shop!
Service was fast and my pork roll, egg and cheese on toasted poppy seed bagel was nothing less than amazing!
I wish I had taken a picture... I was so hungry and smelled so amazing I couldn't resist! -

Here is a MUST VISIT place! The creations are amazing the selection is astounding and the staff are incredible!!!
I was out on a solo motorcycle ride in Monday Labor Day and the Bagel Nook was open and doing a brisk business. I've heard of the place and maybe even seen it on TV so I bookmarked it on Yelp. I've been seeking delicious and unusual donuts lately as an alternative to going to a bar on my bike, originally I was going to have a bagel but noticed some stuffed donuts on display. I ordered a custom creation and they happily obliged. The fruity pebbles with peanut butter and jelly spread caught the attention of the owners and they delivered it to me with a huge smile.
I had a blueberry coffee with it and sat at a table outside and enjoyed a terrific treat.
I'm going back for what looks like a remarkable bagel. With so many spread choices and the huge bagels I'm not sure if I'll only have one.
This place is a total wonderland. -

TLDR: Food is overpriced, customer service is bad, constantly mess up orders, wait times are outrageous for a bagel joint, and food is not good.
Ok so this place is somewhat of a let down. I've been here a few times and the experience in the place is alright. There's a fun atmosphere and there's a lot to choose from especially in the bagel selection.
The variety in bagels and cream cheese here are pretty creative, but leave something to be desired. Not so much the bagels, but the specialty cream cheeses. In one of my more recent experiences I ordered a French toast bagel and maple bacon cream cheese...sounds delicious, but it wasn't. The cream cheese tasted like regular cream cheese, there was bacon in it, but it became soft lost a lot of its flavor, and I couldn't taste a hint of maple. Yesterday I went back and ordered a bagel with strawberry banana cream cheese, and again the cheese was just disgusting. It tasted like medicine for kids, and I'm not exaggerating.
Also, the last time I went one of the workers sneezed in the work area without covering their mouth or any concern for the food around. Won't be coming back. -

The Bagel Nook has a wide selection of creative and delicious bagels and cream cheese plus a variety of donuts and cupcakes. I was traveling from NYC to Maryland and my sister thought Freehold would make a great pitstop for breakfast. We were truly in for a big and impressive surprise. We tried every amazing overload creation and every cream cheese. The quality and flavors rival that which you'd find in NYC and I wish they would open a shop in NYC. The overloads are massive and can get messy to eat. They are more of a dessert than breakfast. I have to say the simple bagels with a schmear of cream cheese are adequate. You can't go wrong with any of the bagels. I enjoyed the blueberry, the pumpernickel everything, and the egg bagels, but my favorite was the Flamin' Hot Cheetos bagel.

Super soft bagels with fun, unique flavors!! Saw this place a while ago and meant to stop by sooner. The Bagel Nook is a small local shop in a shopping plaza, popular by evidence of its constant flow of customers. Walk to the back where the line starts, and you'll find a plethora of cream cheese flavors. Seriously. From strawberry shortcake to jalapeño cheddar there's something for everyone... A little overwhelming for me as a first-time goer so I took to Yelp recommendations for guidance. Ended up with 2 bagels:
Fruity Pebble Bagel with Blueberry Cream Cheese
- crunch of the cereal adds nice, subtle, fruity texture
- blueberry cream cheese reminded me of blueberry yogurt!
Flamin' Hot Cheeto Bagel with Cool Ranch Cream Cheese
- subtle kick from the flamin' hot
- very strong ranch flavor in the cream cheese
Total was about $10. If you get the "overload" option, it can be more expensive, and pricing seemed to be the complaint of most reviewers. I personally think getting the bagel was enough and there was no need for the extra "overload" option. I expected the place to be more commercialized with really overwhelming flavors, but it's actually fairly casual and somewhere I could see myself coming regularly! Varied ages and types of customers show it's a great place for all ages. Will be back to try more of their crazy flavored bagels!!
